FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
IS CANDLE SOOT TOXIC?
No. The small amount of soot produced by a candle is the natural byproduct of incomplete combustion. Candle soot is composed primarily of elemental carbon particles, and is similar to the soot given off by kitchen toasters and cooking oils.
Since our candles are made with 100% natural wax - sooting should be minimal & safe for the air in your home.
Candle soot can be minimized in the following ways:
•. Trim the wick to ¼ inch before every use
• Place the candle away from drafty areas
• Ensure that the wax pool is free of debris
•. NEVER leave a candle unattended in your home
WHY DO I HAVE A HIGH FLAME?
This can happen & is typically caused from not trimming the wick properly before each use. Be sure to trim the wick before each use to ensure the flame doesn't get out of control.
WHAT WAXES DO YOU USE?
We believe in being as clean & sustainable as possible. That's why we only use our signature coconut wax blend. Not only is our wax sustainably sourced - it has been lab tested to burn clean, never polluting the air with harmful particles.
Paraffin wax is made from petroleum & which is an industry we choose not to support.
We love bees! 🐝 Unfortunately, a majority of the beeswax on the market isn't so friendly to our buzzy friends so we avoid using this type of wax. We are also proud to be 100% vegan brand.
ARE YOU VEGAN & CRUELTY FREE?
YES! We never use any animal by products and only use materials that have not been tested on animals.
WHAT ARE THE FRAGRANCES?
We love clean fragrances. A majority of our fragrances are naturally derived while a portion of them are synthetic & lab created.
We researched this topic extensively while creating our products & we found that certain essential oils/essences have chemical components that can be pollute the air when burned. Whereas, all the synthetic compounds in our products are created & tested to be completely non-toxic while burning.
Our fragrances are ALWAYS free of phthalates, petrochemicals, & other harmful. compounds. (i.e..toulene, benzene, etc)
